How To Qualify For A Free Breast Pump

If you plan on breastfeeding, then you’ll need a breast pump whether you plan on being a stay at home mom or going back to work. A breast pump allows you to keep breastfeeding once you return to work from maternity leave. If you are a stay at home mom, it gives you that break you’ll need every once in awhile from nursing. It gives you that flexibility to run errands or go out on a date night as well.

Breast pumps can be super expensive. However, if you have insurance then chances are your insurance may be able to cover the cost of your breast pump. A lot of mamas do not know that breast pumps can be covered through insurance. I definitely had no idea when I was pregnant with my first.

Luckily before my first was due, a coworker brought it up to me to check with insurance. I ended up getting it covered but the process it took to get there was a headache!

If you have ever dealt with insurance then you know how difficult it can be. It took me several phone calls, having to coordinate with my doctors office for a prescription, and then calling the company who sends you the breast pump to get everything in order. It was A LOT of hoops to jump through.

But thankfully this pregnancy I discovered a way with the same output but way easier process that was a breeze! It’s something that ALL expecting moms should know about.

Aeroflow Breastpumps is a wonderful company that literally does everything for you! All you have to do is fill out your information with your insurance card and they do all the steps that are needed to see if you qualify for a free breast pump.

What They Do:

  • Contact your insurance to see what coverage you have
  • If you are covered, they call and email you to let you know what free options are available to you as well as upgraded options.
  • If your insurance requires a prescription (like mine did) then they contact your doctors office to get that processed for you. (You just have to tell them the name of your doctor)
  • Then they get the order processed and ship it to you for FREE.

How Easy It Was:

I didn’t have to talk to them directly once. All their notifications were via email and I did everything through their website.

It was the easiest thing to do and was done with one click. You just pick out what option you want and order. That’s it! It was a night and day difference from the first time.

Saving money, saving time, and avoiding having to speak with insurance is a win to me. I hope this helps with one less thing to worry about while you are preparing for baby! Let me know below if you have any questions.
